CSA’s in Arizona Growing in Popularity

With the increase in food prices, consumers everywhere are looking for ways to stretch their food dollar and get high quality, nutritious food for their families without breaking the bank. Another option is to invest in a community supported agriculture (CSA) program which provides all participants with healthy, locally grown produce many times at a lower overall cost because participants are buying straight from the farmer.

Mortimer Family Farms Establishes Roots on the Site Formerly Known as Young’s Farms

It’s been almost five years since Young’s Farm closed. Gary and Sharla Mortimer, owners of Mortimer’s Nursery in Prescott and the Ash Creek Ranch off State Route 169, changed all that in April when they held a press conference and had local dignitaries help them plant the first seeds in the newly plowed ground.
