June is also National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month, so enjoy it by visiting your local farmers for the freshest Arizona-grown items. For organic enthusiasts, Desert Root Farms in Queen Creek has herbs, veggies, and the recipes and storing methods you need to keep them crisp. They are a Community Supported Agriculture farm, one of thousands across the United States.

Also, Arizona’s own Basha’s Grocery Store has all locally-grown produce — the fruits and vegetables, and herbs and spices you’ll need! When you buy locally from Basha’s, the money is reinvested locally.
