Come and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona with the Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Half of the West Exhibition & Sale. The event will run March 25 – May 8, 2011 and include 57 female artists and more than 200 drawings, paintings and sculptures representing the spirit and culture of the West.
Curator of Desert Caballeros Western Museum: Arizona’s Most Western Museum Mary Ann Inga is, “…very proud of the fact that Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Half of the West, in just five years, has become the most important show and sale for women artists in the West.”
Cowgirl Up! exhibits and sales will bring many visitors to this artist town. The kickoff weekend is packed with activities including an Artists & Patrons Party at the Monte Vista Ranch, lectures, Artist Awards, Dinner & Auction and Chuck Wagon breakfast. Other activities are planned throughout the month long celebration.
