Market Details:
Saint David Farmers’ Market
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
We bring local producers of agriculture products, mostly very small farmers and backyard gardeners together face to face with the end consumers in a pleasant, safe, family oriented environment, with a petting zoo of baby farm animals, sometimes with local musicians performing live, and often classes or “How to” sessions on different aspects of farming, gardening, cooking with solar ovens, spinning wool and other subjects of interest to those who are interested in learning old time skills.
We also have themed markets tied in with local and national holidays and also historical events such as on the 24th of July, the St David Farmers’ Market will join with the community of St David in celebrating “Mormon Pioneer Day” commemorating the LDS (Mormon) Faith’s impact on the settling of the Western United States as well as Canada and even parts of northern Mexico. Mormon Pioneer Farmers were the settlers who founded St David, and these farmers provided meats & produce for the nearby miners in the community of Tombstone.
