Founded in 1990, Callaghan Vineyards has earned its superb reputation for consistently producing outstanding wines year after year.
Callaghan Vineyards has been honored by having its wine served at the White House three times:
Callaghan's Claire's 2004, a Mourvedre, Syrah and Petite Sirah, was served during President George W. Bush's dinner for retiring U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, an Arizona native.
Callaghan's 1998 Buena Suerte Cuvee was served in 2000 at President Bill Clinton's last State Dinner for the Prime Minister of India.
The 1993 Buena Suerte Cuvee, a Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, was served in July 1996 at a White House dinner for the Democratic National Committee.
In 2006, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano designated Callaghan Vineyards as one of Arizona’s Treasures.
Directions from Tucson: Take I-10 East towards El Paso. Take exit 281 and head south to Sonoita on scenic Highway 83. Continue on Highway 83 to Sonoita. When you reach the intersection of Highway 83 and Highway 82, continue south on Highway 83 to Elgin Road. Turn left on Elgin Road and Callaghan vineyards is approximately 3 miles on your left.
