City Center Farms, will be located in urban locations, grown as close to the consumer as possible and in most cases within 10 miles. Our crops, grown without the use of pesticides, will ripen naturally, ensuring optimum taste and nutrition and will be always growing and always fresh. The majority of perishable produce typically travels several thousand miles from farm to table. Our proximity to the market will improve product quality while reducing transportation fuel consumption and associated emissions. City Center Farms will utilize re-circulating hydroponics, the most water efficient form of agriculture in the world. The facility will be powered in party, by on-site solar panels and irrigated by captured rainwater.
