Arizona farms are local, family owned businesses that provide the freshest produce, baked goods, and other great items for your family’s meals every day. Like most businesses, these places have been affected by the current pandemic and economic shifts. Here are some ways you can support Arizona farmers and their families!

Buy Your Produce at Farmers Markets

When you buy your fruits and vegetables at a local farmer’s market, the money goes directly back to the farm, so you can continue to get the freshest produce around!

Visit Farms

Farms often offer guided tours, as well as festivals during October and December. Some have campgrounds or do fireworks for New Year’s Eve and the Fourth of July. Check out our list of AZFB farms and find one to tour here.

Tell Your Friends

For all businesses, word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to improve business. If you love the produce, visit, or food, tell your friends and family to go to these events or go with them!

Buy a Gift Card to a Farm Store

A lot of farms have farm stores, where you can buy homemade pies, cinnamon rolls, olive oil, farm fresh honey, and so much more. These make great gifts for others or for yourself. Some offer catering for events as well. And of course, if they offer gift cards, you can purchase these for others or yourself now and spend them later, supporting businesses when they need it.

Eat at Restaurants that use Local Produce

Lots of restaurants use local produce, and by supporting them, you are supporting the farmers who supply the fresh fruits and vegetables. Places like Joe’s Farm Grill and others near Agritopia all use the close farm’s food!
