Word has gotten out. Arizona Farm Bureau’s Fill Your Plate staff team is willing to product test our local Arizona foods and talk about them!
Our latest taste test was Stronghold Beef’s Green Chili Beef! Sonia and David Gasho raise natural, grass fed, range-raised Angus beef in southern Arizona. Their beef is humane, gentle handling, beef quality assurance certified.
South on I-10 to Dragoon Road exit, Stronghold Beef represents a tradition of quality beef like our myriad of ranching families in this state. As you go southeast to Highway 191, South to Ghose Town Trail, right at Crossroads on Pearce Road then left on Central #1090 you’ll see some beautiful country where wonderful beef is raised.
While attending the May 2012 Women’s Leadership Committee meeting, Sonia brought some green chili beef and chips for us to taste sample. The entire staff took time to try out the tender, flavorful meat. We concluded her green chili beef would be great for burritos and also tamale meat.
Said one hungry co-worker (despite the fact he’s also eaten a late lunch), “I can’t stop eating this it’s so yummy!
If you purchase from Stronghold Beef and you are a Farm Bureau member, you’ll get a 10% to Farm Bureau discount. You’ll just need to show your card or share your member number over the telephone. Call them for a beef order (either in cuts or you can also purchase half a beef) at 520-826-0009.
