DINNER DOWN THE ORCHARD…

Two more dates two more chef’s Four courses, wine parings and peaches

Experiencing a setting unlike any other in the valley, and with a feeling more like you are in Napa Valley, Schnepf Farms is taking about 38 more reservations for the March 27th, Dinner Down the Orchard featuring  Celebrity Chef Eddie Matney, owner of Eddie’s House in Scottsdale. He has a keen sense of flavors and will be bringing that to Schnepf Farms Peach Orchard in 4 courses. He is starting with diver scallop with a peach tomato and chili fresco. An Arizona dandelion salad in a peach with a vanilla bean olive oil will be created for the 2nd course, and the entre is braised beef short ribs with an apricot goat cheese risotto baklava fava beans. The dessert served is Schnepf Farms famous warm fresh peach pie with vanilla bean ice cream.

Reservations are also being taken for the May 1st, Dinner Down the Orchard when Executive Chef Todd Siccolo of the Arizona Biltmore brings his team to the orchard. Schnepf Farms is currently working scheduling the chef’s for the upcoming 2010-2011 Dinner Down the Orchard experience…

Cost for the experience is  $90.pp  includes four courses with wine parings, and reservations required. Guests are served while seated down a long white linen covered table in the middle of a peach orchard. Limited space is available for both dinners. The Dinner Down the Orchard is created  four times a year at Schnepf Farms during the months of September, February, March and April or May (crop dependent). Schnepf Farms is located on Rittenhouse Road in Queen Creek. Take US 60 east to Ellsworth road, drive south for 8 miles to Rittenhouse, turn left for 3 miles and the farm entrance is on your right hand side.

Schnepf Farms, family owned and operated since 1941 by three generations of Schnepfs, is the largest Peach Farm in Arizona. Starting as a large commercial farming operation in 1941, then adding a small roadside stand, today Schnepf Farms is a family entertainment center featuring special children’s activities, amusement rides, annual events and Schnepf Farms Country Store & Bakery.
