Medjool Date Spiced Rum Cocktail

Ingredients:
- - 8 (1.5 ounce) shots spiced rum (equivalent to 1 ½ cups)
- - ½ cup Natural Delights Date Syrup
- - 6 dashes orange bitters
- - ice cubes
- - splash of club soda
- - (garnish) orange peel
- - (garnish) cinnamon stick
- - Optional apple twist for the fall season:
- - 3/4 cup apple cider (if using this option add more rum!)
- - (garnish) with 1 Honey Crisp apple cut crosswise
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker, shake the rum, date syrup, orange bitters and orange peel (add apple cider option) together.
Pour the drink over ice cube filled glasses.
Add a splash of club soda to each glass.
Garnish with cinnamon stick and more orange peel (add apple slice option).
Note: While drinking, occasionally stir with the cinnamon stick since the date syrup tends to settle to the bottom.
