Saving time and money at the checkout

By Alexandra Pettit, AZFB Communications Intern

It’s that time of the week again, time to grab a cart and hit the aisles. But wait there has to be a way to save the time and all of the grief at the grocery store! Oh, but there is!

Many big name stores have been implementing pickup and delivery options for customers. Many are even offering same-day pickup, or delivery straight to your front door within hours. Stores make it easy with the ability to order your groceries with the swipe of the finger, offering online store ads and grocery order apps. Not only is this saving you valuable time in this fast-moving life of yours but you’re most likely saving money as well.

At this moment you’re probably asking yourself how are pick-up and delivery options saving me money. With the option of ordering from your phone, you are able to see what is going into your cart and how much it costs as well. Also with the use of online ads you are able to snag those weekly deals without having to set a foot in the store.

Keep an eye out as some stores do charge a pickup or delivery fee but it usually is not more than five dollars.

Plus, pre-ordering your groceries cuts down on the impulse buying. For me, this is something to avoid since I’m a student and newlywed on a budget.

The pickup locations make it easy, you pull into the designated pickup parking spots and call the phone number that is provided to you when ordering. They usually have your groceries to your car in under five minutes and they even help you load them into your car. With the delivery option, someone will bring the groceries right you your front door, making grocery shopping easy and a huge time saver.

Stores that offer this service Walmart, Target, Fry’s, Costco, and Sam’s Club. Also, look for the store apps in the app store. Happy Shopping!
